The Jacques Charbonneau community garden in Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is a piece of land gardened, fertilized, harvested, maintained and managed by locals, individually or collectively where a watering place, a shed and/or a toolbox and tables are available.
Plots that are generally assigned by priority to borough residents who are responsible for cultivating and maintaining their own plot, for collecting their own harvest and for keeping the whole garden uncluttered and properly arranged and organized.
