Concierges Services and Tips

Concierges services and tips along with immediate appreciation for services rendered. In short, concierges assist guests and work for tips. Highly qualified concierges who can and do improve your stay and make it very special.

If you have not been able to get a good tee time or a reservation at a new and trendy restaurant, the hotel concierge will most probably make it happen. Not all rating hotel deals have a concierge but when they do, he or she can be very helpful.

Concierges work for tips and, since they can and do provide a rather large variety of services, standard tipping guidelines are not always the best solution. As a whole, simple requests can be rewarded with regular or standard tips while more elaborate and more complex requests should be rewarded accordingly.

As for our star-rating hotel system, one star is the lowest rating, and five stars is the highest score. Although knowing the best and the worst scores is helpful, knowing the meaning of hotel star ratings is much more beneficial.

A five-star hotel provides flawless guest services, a four-star offer many special services and amenities, a three-star provides average amenities, a two-star offers basic necessities and a one-star is no more than a place to rest for the night.

Hotels Concierges Services Skills

 If you have a problem...

  • Allow for a reasonable response time considering the nature of the problem.
  • Calmly explain your situation to the supervisor and allow him or her time to fix the problem.
  • Do not make it a personal attack against the person who is trying to help you.
  • Do not, repeat, do not play the "big shot" game. If you are not comfortable with the person you are dealing with, if you feel he or she is not helpful, ask to see the supervisor.
  • If you have a satisfactory solution to your problem, suggest it. Remain calm and keep it business like.
  • Speak with the front desk, explain the problem and politely ask how and when it will be fixed.
