City of Dorval

One of the main assets of the City of Dorval could very well be its many "Purple Martin" swallows known for their speed and agility.

Every summer, from the end of April to mid-August, a magnificent lighthouse with 108 "bird condos" welcomes the swallows. Everyday, the gracious flights of the Purple Martins ecologically eliminate the insects that border the Lac Saint-Louis.

Also interesting is what the City of Dorval calls "block parties" where residents get together and get to know each other in a festive ambiance full of cordiality and solidarity. Block parties organized by the residents and supported and accompanied by the Leisure and Culture Department of the City.

Local restaurants with terraces are authorized from April 1st to October 30, from 8:00 AM to midnight. Servers are not allowed to prepare food and drinks on a terrace because terraces must be used for meal service only.

The City of Pointe-Claire is located on the shore of Lake Saint-Louis and offers to its residents an extensive urban forest along with a significant architectural and land heritage.

Pointe-Claire is fully aware of today's environmental, social and economic realities and, in order to improve the quality of life of its residents it has recently launched a number of sustainable development initiatives such as environmental protection, biodiversity preservation and economic efficiency.

To support all these activities and services, the City designed five Support Frameworks to make sure resources are available to all and to explain how to access the various types of support that are provided.

City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue

Before the arrival of the Europeans, the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue was called Tiotenactokte "here are the last obstacles" by the Algonguins and Skanawetzy (descentes en) "eaux vives" by the Iroquois.
