Solo Build It Website

SBI! for a solo build it website that used to be called Site Build It! and that is now called Solo Build It! An ebiz-building approach, accompanied by a tutorial and a series of actions and instructions on how to build a profitable online business.

DAY 5. Refine Your Site Concept And Register Your Domain

DAY 5 is about defining my site (and yours):

  • Description Montreal KITS is a vast assortment of facts, information and stories about Montreal and Montrealers.
  • Site design is colorful, sober, elegant, pleasant to look at and well structured.
  • Voice is friendly, professional, informative, descriptive and practical. Deep knowledge and the use of as many profitable keywords as possible are peremptory.

  • Content covers and explains "something unique" about each of the 60,000 or so companies established on the Island of Montreal. Images and contact information are always added to the content.

  • Valuable PREselling Proposition starts with the word KIT. A kit is a set of "things" needed for a specific purpose while Montreal Kits is a set of detailed information, popular facts, and interesting clues about each of the 60,000 or so companies established on the Island of Montreal and other relevant information.
  • Monetization Model starts with at least one web page or one blog page (what's your beef?) purchased by each company. Pages that are subsequently followed by personalized and made to measure services such as social media campaigns, internet marketing newsletters and audio visual productions.

DAY 6. Build a Site That Gets the Click

On DAY 6 I created my site's design with the help of Maxime, a talented local graphic artist. He created eight very colourful banners and I love each and everyone of them.

I reviewed my site structure, made sure my pages are easy to read and built two site maps, one with all my pages in alphabetical order and another divided into Kits.

DAY 6 is a big DAY and an even bigger accomplishment! DAY 6 is the beginning of what will become an OVER delivering niche-based content loved by the search engines and by my many visitors!

DAY 7. Build Free Traffic From a Variety of Sources

On DAY 7 targeted traffic is attracted by various activities including publishing high-value content pages. A never-ending activity.

It also includes being accessible from desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, establishing the presence of Montreal Kits in the search engines and creating and engaging a social media presence, my next task.

DAY 8. Develop Relationships - Deepen PREselling

This is my very important next step.

DAY 8 is about building a personal social network with visitors and influencers who will help deepen the trust and the credibility of my Montreal Kits website. Achieving this important goal is like becoming a knowledgeable friend making a recommendation.

Something that will soon become a very interesting and very profitable achievement.

9. Know Your Visitors (and customers)

DAY 9 is a fun part. On the one hand, Solo Built It! offers various tools such as Traffic Stats and Search Engine HQ. Important and valuable tools that help me follow my results and bring the necessary adjustments when required.

On the other, many tools for testing websites are available on the Web, Some are completely free and others are free for a certain number of tests.

I recently used some of these tools to evaluate potential customers. Sometimes their website is properly built, sometimes it's not. Being a MY Site Build It subscriber for a number of years, I definitely know what to look for.

If there are weak points such as a non https:// secure site, very few Facebook reviews, no recent updates, no Alexa (free) rank, very few words per page, no home page description, no HTTP 404 page, no GDPR, in French only... then I will probably be able to convince some (many) companies to join Montreal Kits.

A solo build it website and a very challenging, very rewarding endeavour.

Success with My Solo Build It Website

10. Monetize Your Solo Build It Website

On DAY 10 we determine whether our website is ready for monetization and if it's time to turn traffic into income.

According to SBI! with our Solo Build It website "we sell something our customers genuinely need or want" and, according to Montreal Kits "our customers don’t need to be praised, they need to be explained." and this is definitely what I am doing.

I am not creating a nice online business card which many have done quite well. I am building a business called Montreal Kits entirely dedicated to Montreal and Montrealers. A business that offers visibility and services to local companies in exchange of money to cover the operation costs including salaries, to expand and to invest for the long term.
